MINDSET
EDUCATION
PURPOSE
Our Mindset Education program, geared to our 6-15 year olds, is a mental training session offered by our Head Coach, or occasionally by a professional psychologist, as part of our teachings off the field.
This type of education would be in an informal seat-down setting in person or video conference. “Whether it be an individual player in need or a group, it is key for the mind to be developed for success!”
-Patrick Tardieu
GOAL & OBJECTIVE
-
To help our players become consciously aware of how beliefs about their abilities and themselves affects what they can or cannot achieve
-
To help our players achieve success by developing a “winning” attitude/state-of-mind/mentality on the fields and in life
-
To help our players accept failure, as they accept victory… a major part of our philosophy
-
To help our players develop self-control and a positive way of thinking/attitude on/off field
-
To help our players look at failures as an opportunity to develop new abilities and skills
-
To help our players develop a problem-solving attitude
-
To help our players overcome hurdles they face in learning & develop necessary skills to persist
EXPERIENCE SHARING
We lean on our 30 plus years of experience as former professional athletes, coaches and educators, to share firsthand how pro players think, act, & behave, at the highest level. The guiding light of our successes and failures allow us the ability to instruct our players on what actions, decisions, and behaviors helped us succeed in the world of soccer, providing them the blueprint for their own future success as well.
In this session we also occasionally call upon the input of our own mental health professional to speak with our players on the challenges of being a young athlete and what it takes to succeed on and off the field.
